About

Amsterdam Artspace was initiated by Daniella Groenberg and Elish van Eijk, a Dutch designer duo from Amsterdam and founders of Greenberg+ Oaktree, a studio for interior design, in the middle of the creative buzz of the Czaar Peter neighbourhood in Amsterdam.

Both built successful careers in theatre production and visual communication until 2016—when they decided to switch gears entirely.

Fueled by their passion for art, design, travel, photography, architecture, and fashion, they launched their creative partnership as the designer duo Greenberg+Oaktree.

When they discovered a charming former milk-and-grocery corner store to use as their studio, they moved in with a small team. As interior designers, they wanted to bring life to the still-empty walls of the new workspace.

A single post in their network sparked conversations with artists and emerging talents, and before long, they had enough work to curate a full programme of striking, diverse, and beautiful exhibitions.

After several years of hosting shows in many forms and styles, their focus now lies on accessible art for art lovers and budding collectors alike. They showcase only works that touch, intrigue, inspire, delight, or comfort—and that naturally connect with their interior design projects.
